About the Artist
Born in New York City in 1976, Adam Himoff has pioneered 'Linear Dynamism,' a compelling visual style inspired by the raw energy and vibrancy of the urban art landscape (from graffiti to museum masterworks). Informed by studies at the Art Students League, RISD, and Dartmouth College (BA, English Literature), his artistic path was interwoven with a two-decade career in finance and venture capital in New York and Los Angeles, culminating in a dedicated return to art in 2022.
Within 'Linear Dynamism,' Himoff translates the bold, graphic power of printmaking's carved lines into dynamic paintings, prints, and sculptures characterized by non-cardinally oriented line work that generates a powerful visual energy and rhythm. Increasingly central to this style is the 'woven aesthetic' – an intricate substructure that permeates much of his work and acts as a metaphorical ‘veil.’ Collectively, his work aims to prompt viewers to pierce the ‘veil,’ reconsider ingrained perspectives, and seek out societal truths.
We encourage Adam’s collectors and fans to stay in touch, follow him on Instagram, and stay tuned for new work!
