The creation of linocuts by hand
Linocuts involves the carving of linoleum to create a printable “stamp” used to produce an edition of prints. Adam’s process begins with a pencil sketch (right), where the lightest areas are then cut away using extremely sharp gouges (or cutting tools)
The final linoleum block is then inked up and printed on archival paper.
